Don’t Shoot Me, I’m the Piano Player

With David Scheel

Tuesday 23 September

Do you want to hear beautiful, technically brilliant piano playing, and in between the pieces, laugh yourself silly? Then welcome to a concert by David Scheel. In David’s concerts the classics are turned on their head. At any time you might hear a popular folk tune played in the styles of various old masters, or a piece by Bach and another by Andrew Lloyd Webber played simultaneously, one with the right hand, the other with the left. A mini-sonata based on the 20 most requested tunes is another favourite, as is David’s comedy classic, a translation of the lyrics of Waltzing Matilda.

Barry Crocker

One of Australia’s best known entertainers, Barry will perform songs from Fiddler on the Roof, a Frank Sinatra Tribute, Danny Boy, The Impossible Dream and many more.
